Boswell Yacht Design provides detailed technical yacht design and wider marine design services using modern 2D and 3D CAD systems to provide the most effective design tools.
The business benefits from over 40 years of experience in the yachting industry with many top companies.
The chief designer, Alan Boswell, was design manager at Oyster Marine for twelve years up to the beginning of 2013, and had previously worked for a number of top yacht designers including Angus Primrose, John Sharp, and Ed Dubois, developing other well known production yacht brands such as Moody, Westerly, and Wauquiez. While with Ed Dubois he was responsible for the detail technical design of Ed's first superyacht, the 125 foot sloop "Aquel".
As a freelance designer he has also previously worked with Southampton Yacht Services on well known classic yachts such as "Adix", "Thendara", and "Seven Seas", which were undergoing extensive rebuild and refit projects.
For many years Alan has specialised in the provision of unusual rig designs, such as junk rigs and wing sail rigs, for over 200 customers carrying out conversions.
Whatever the size of your project, Boswell Yacht Design can help you take your project all the way from initial concept ideas to production and build drawings.
